Privacy Policy

ToolPDFs document tools are designed to process selected files in your browser. File contents are not sent to ToolPDFs application APIs for tool processing. Your browser may hold a file in memory while a tool runs, and the resulting file is downloaded to your device.

This does not remove risks on your own device. Browser extensions, shared computers, downloads folders, and malware can still affect your documents. Do not use a tool if its page tells you that it has a different processing model.

You can use Google to sign in when you want to purchase, sync, or restore Pro access. Google handles identity authentication. ToolPDFs verifies the Google credential on its server before creating a ToolPDFs account and session.

From a verified Google credential, we store the Google account identifier, verified email address, name when available, profile image URL when available, and verification status. We use this information to identify your account, display it in the product, and connect your Pro entitlement to you. We do not use your email address as the permanent account identifier.

ToolPDFs uses its own signed, HttpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. The Google credential is not used as your ToolPDFs session.

ToolPDFs stores account records and Pro entitlement records in Supabase Postgres. These records can include your ToolPDFs user id, Google account identifier, email address, profile details, Dodo customer or subscription identifiers, plan, status, and the end of a paid subscription period when applicable.

Account and entitlement queries are handled by ToolPDFs server code. The service role credential used for these server operations is not available in the browser. Direct anonymous browser access to the account tables is not provided.

Web checkout is provided by Dodo Payments, the Merchant of Record. Dodo processes payment details, taxes, receipts, subscriptions, refunds, and payment related support. ToolPDFs does not receive or store your full payment card details.

After a payment event, Dodo sends ToolPDFs a signed webhook. ToolPDFs uses that event to update the Pro entitlement associated with the account that started checkout. The information Dodo supplies can include customer, subscription, product, plan, payment, and status data needed to provide Pro access.

With your consent, ToolPDFs uses Google Analytics, PostHog, and Microsoft Clarity to understand visits and improve the product. These services are intended to measure site and product activity, not document contents or filenames. If you decline the cookie notice, the site does not load those analytics services.

Essential cookies are used for functions such as an authenticated ToolPDFs session. Your cookie choice and some product preferences may also be stored in your browser. Google and Dodo may set their own cookies when you use their sign in or checkout services. Their handling of those cookies is governed by their own policies.

When you contact support, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. Standard hosting and security systems may also process technical information such as IP address, browser information, request time, and error details to operate and protect the website.

We do not sell personal information for advertising. ToolPDFs does not request access to your Google password, and it does not use Google sign in to access your documents.

ToolPDFs does not retain document files for browser based processing because they are not submitted to ToolPDFs for that purpose. Session cookies expire after up to 30 days unless you sign out or the cookie is cleared.

We keep account and entitlement records while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary for security, support, accounting, legal obligations, and dispute handling. Dodo retains payment records under its own retention practices and applicable obligations. Analytics and support records are retained according to the relevant service settings and our operational needs, then deleted or anonymised when no longer needed where practicable.

You can decline analytics cookies, sign out, and stop using the service at any time. You may ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you. Where applicable law provides additional rights, such as the right to object or restrict processing, you may request those rights as well.

To make a privacy request, email hello@divvsaxena.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some information may need to be kept where law or a legitimate purpose requires it.

ToolPDFs currently relies on service providers that may process limited information:

• Google for identity authentication and consent based analytics.
• Supabase for Postgres account and entitlement storage.
• Dodo Payments for web checkout, billing, tax, receipts, refunds, and payment events.
• Vercel for website hosting and related request handling.
• PostHog and Microsoft Clarity for consent based product and usage analytics.

Providers may process information in countries other than yours. Their services are governed by their own terms, privacy notices, and data transfer safeguards.

ToolPDFs is not directed to children under the age at which they can legally consent to online services in their location. Do not create an account for a child without any required parental consent.
